nu3 Shifts Focus To Its Own Brand Business And German-speaking Markets
Berlin, October 10, 2016. During its latest round of financing, nu3’s management has committed to several strategic actions. Scandinavia was unable to fulfill the company’s high expectations and will therefore be serviced by the nu3.com online shop in the future. Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France are now the main focus markets. The nu3 own band has developed well and will be expanded further. In line with this shift, teams will be consolidated and, to some extent, downsized.
Product range: Strong focus on the nu3 own brand.
After being founded in 2011, the Berlin-based start-up began to develop its own successful private label products. Going forward, nu3 will further expand its own brand business and continue to focus on quality and innovation. The nu3 own brand portfolio is made up of around 150 products from the categories natural food, fitness and health. To strengthen competitiveness, nu3 has invested in its own laboratory, production facility and automated warehouse. Third-party brands offered by nu3 will be scaled back and partnerships with strong brands will be expanded. In August, nu3 successfully opened its first flagship store in Switzerland, which is stocked exclusively with nu3 own brand products. Private label goods will also be available at retail stores in Switzerland in 2017.
International Markets: Concentration on the core German-speaking markets and France.
Going forward, nu3 will focus on the core markets Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France. In the Scandinavian markets, processes will be consolidated via the English-language nu3.com online shop to even more efficiently respond to customers’ inquiries and orders.

As part of the narrower focus, nu3 has reduced the size of its team from 150 employees to around 100 employees.
